About Us

Hello! My name is Kyran Luhrs, President of Worm Wizard.

I have fallen in love with earthworms and have spent years of my life working with them, studying their behavior, and learning about what it means to be in the composting industry.

The story really begins with the company that came before Worm Wizard: Central Iowa Organic Fertilizers (CIOF). The owners, Mike and Tracy, have been my friends, mentors, and guides on this road for as long as I have known about the worm industry, and they have been instrumental in getting Worm Wizard where it is now.

Worm Wizard is passionate about creating high quality vermicompost (worm castings) using renewable resources and non-chemical additives. Our company seeks to replace the chemical fertilizers that are doing massive environmental damage with safe, non-toxic worm castings and casting derivatives.
